Joe was a devoted father to Athena (and her husband Jason), Marty, Lorrin (and her husband T.J.), Eli (and his wife Gabby), and Jaime (and his husband Alan-Arthur). He was their rock, their guide, and their loudest cheerleader, always urging them to live with purpose and compassion.
His grandchildren—Isaiah (and his fiancée Grace), Moriah, Jaedah, Xavier, Hannah, E.J., Nathan, Judah, Selah, Rose, Reuben, Ephraim, Lucas, and Calderón—brought him endless joy. They will keep his spirit alive in the way they love, grow, and share the lessons he passed down.
Inspiring Children Foundation
Mental health is the cornerstone of a happy, meaningful life, but so many young people—especially those facing tough circumstances—don’t have access to the support they need. The Inspiring Children Foundation understands this deeply. They’ve created a safe space for kids to learn, grow, and heal, tackling challenges head-on and giving them the tools to build a brighter future. With mental health struggles on the rise, programs like these are not just important—they’re lifesaving.
How They Help
For 22 years, Jewel’s Inspiring Children Foundation (ICF) has been transforming the lives of at-risk youth in Las Vegas through a whole human approach to physical, emotional and mental health. ICF serves hundreds of youth in-person and millions online. 95% of students in their Leadership Program have earned college scholarships for academics & athletics (tennis) to some of the best colleges in the US.
