Clark Swanson: Innovator & Advocate for Change
Clark Swanson wears many hats—entrepreneur, activist, father, curious researcher, leader, and philanthropist. Whether he’s breaking down barriers to groundbreaking cancer research, working to improve education opportunities in Nevada, or spending time with his family, Clark approaches everything he does with clarity, genuine positivity, and a solution-oriented mindset. He's a firm believer in doing whatever it takes to uncover creative solutions, and understands that real progress comes from showing up, adding value, and putting in the hours.
Philanthropy and Community Contributions
For more than a decade, Clark has dedicated his time and energy to improving healthcare and education. In 2018, he founded Flavocure Biotech, Inc., bringing together a team of leading scientists in partnership with Harvard Medical School. Together, they worked to develop a groundbreaking cancer treatment, now advancing toward human clinical trials in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Clark saw an opportunity to do something meaningful and shifted his focus to virology research. Co-authoring a patent for nanoparticle-based treatments targeting COVID-19 and influenza was his way of contributing, even in the smallest way, to a massive global crisis.
Clark’s philanthropy reaches far and wide, including his support for Autism Speaks® and the American Red Cross®. Through his contributions, he’s been able to make a real difference where it’s needed most.

Supporting Education Through the Nevada NEED Initiative
When Clark saw the challenges facing Nevada’s public schools, he knew something had to change. That’s why he founded the Nevada Educational Enrichment Directive (NEED), an initiative that connects educators, state leaders, and business professionals to find practical, bipartisan solutions. By prioritizing quality education, better access, and safer environments, Clark hopes to create real opportunities for every child in Nevada to succeed.
Raising Awareness About Pancreatic Cancer with PANCAN
During his tenure as Vice Chairman of Flavocure, Clark developed community-based outreach to educate and engage the public about pancreatic cancer. Working closely with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN), the largest pancreatic cancer-focused nonprofit in the United States, he championed awareness to bring greater attention to one of the most challenging cancers to treat. For Clark, this work is personal, driven by a genuine, ongoing desire to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
Creating a Better World Together
Whether he’s working with educators, scientists, or community leaders, Clark understands that meaningful progress comes from teamwork. Through trailblazing healthcare solutions, amplifying underrepresented communities, and supporting organizations rooted in compassion and action, Clark uses his energy to uplift those who need it most. His heart lies in extending a helping hand to build a kinder, stronger world for future generations.
